Set on a compact, triangular site in downtown Silver Spring, the new, four-story safety center serves as a mixed-use facility accommodating the fire and police departments, the Silver Spring Urban District, and the national Safe Kids program. The landmark structure was designed to complement the community’s historic urban fabric, and includes a community playground and plaza on site.
