1,250; expandable to 1,500

The design of the new Liberty Middle School builds on the award-winning design of Fairfax County’s Rachel Carson Middle School, with a flexible plan that allows for multiple educational approaches, academic houses that support teaming and interdisciplinary instruction, and strategic zoning that accommodates extended community use. This vibrant learning environment benefits from ample natural light and a carefully selected, energetic color palette. The building includes a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and a multipurpose room that seats 300. A stage opens to both the cafeteria and the multipurpose room.
