Kirkpatrick Public Safety Center
Dulles, VA

Samaha provided full architectural/engineering services for a new public safety center in the Dulles Planning Sub-area of Loudoun County. The facility is located on a 5 acre site that was proffered to the County with the development of a new housing community. With the residential development hitting a target number of housing units, the Public Safety Center had to be built to meet the required service and response times required by Loudoun County’s Fire and Rescue Department. This public safety center co-locates a fire and rescue station with a sheriff’s substation. With the potential for additional development and growth in the immediate area the Fire and Rescue Facility was designed such that additional apparatus bays could be easily added to the station with the use of knock-out panels and site development.
