Samaha is dedicated to creating green designs as evidenced by our zero net energy (ZNE) analysis of a new Physical Fitness Center at Joint Base Andrews. This new 87,290 SF PFC is part of the Joint Base Andrews master plan and will be located within the Town Center. It is envisioned as part of the central community hub to encourage residents and staff to live, work, and play locally. Approximately 1,500 patrons per day will use this facility to develop their physical fitness training, and it will provide health and wellness center services in support of mandatory training and certification. Using integrated design analysis and BIM technology our team evaluated both passive and active energy reduction measures to make the concept design as efficient as possible prior to the addition of renewable energy systems.
